Amy Cremer, APRN, PMHNP-BC

I believe that exceptional mental health care begins with truly listening. After 25 years in nursing and specialized training in psychiatric mental health, I’ve learned that the most powerful healing happens when patients feel genuinely heard and understood.

I offer comprehensive medication evaluations and management while integrating holistic approaches that consider all aspects of your wellbeing. I will never try to just “push pills” on you and rush you out the door. I deeply value creating treatment plans that reflect your unique needs and preferences. By actively involving you in each decision, collaborating with your other healthcare providers when beneficial, and drawing on the latest research and proven approaches, we build a foundation for meaningful progress.

My qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (Psychiatric Mental Health)

My Background

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health from Midwestern State University. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), my clinical training includes working with diverse populations across various settings, from children with behavioral challenges to adults with complex psychiatric needs.

I provide comprehensive care for individuals ages 6 through adulthood, with particular expertise in treating anxiety disorders, mood challenges, ADHD, eating disorders, and mental health concerns related to trauma and women’s issues. My approach combines thorough psychiatric evaluations with personalized medication management and targeted therapeutic interventions.

With over 20 years’ experience as a labor & delivery nurse and a mom myself, I truly understand pregnancy and newborn life. I have a special place in my heart for helping prenatal and postpartum moms with anxiety, depression, and birth trauma—offering calm, practical care so you feel supported.

My Philosophy

I understand that medication is often just one piece of the wellness puzzle. I work closely with my patients to explore all available options, from traditional psychiatric approaches to complementary strategies that support whole-person health. My goal is to help you not just manage symptoms, but thrive.

My practice creates a space where mental health conversations happen without judgment or shame. I believe that combining compassionate support with practical education empowers you to take an active role in your wellness journey. Together, we’ll develop strategies that address your immediate concerns while building resilience for long-term wellbeing.

I’m accepting new patients and would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward improved mental health. Schedule your initial consultation with me today! You can click here to read more about my services and my answers to common FAQ about medication.

Let’s Get Personal

When I’m not supporting clients, you’ll likely find me snuggling with my two adorable Yorkies (they definitely run the house). I’m a proud mom of four amazing daughters, including a set of twins, all grown up and out changing the world.

I’m happiest near water—whether it’s swimming (which I’m pretty great at!) or soaking up sunshine on the beach. I’m also a big fan of travel, and my bucket list includes exploring the charm of Italy and the vibrant culture of Spain. Oh—and if you ever want to win me over, show up with a plate of drunken noodles and veggies. It’s my favorite comfort food!
