Amy Scott, M.Ed., LPC

I love being a therapist, because it is such a joy to help bright, caring people discover healing, recovery and their most peaceful selves. I consider it an honor to work with all my clients in their most vulnerable times, especially those struggling with eating disorders and women struggling with divorce, separation, trauma or life changes.

My qualifications

Master of Education in Counseling and Human Resources

I have a M.Ed. in Counseling & Human Resource Development (double major) from Midwestern State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas (#86865).

I have the most experience working with females ages 13 through adulthood struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma, domestic violence, divorce, grief, chronic illness and major life changes. In addition to private practice, I work as a therapist at the Eating Recovery Center, including facilitating the Spirituality group. I also have experience as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and almost 2 years at a domestic violence shelter. I am a member of iaedp (the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals).

Let’s Get Personal

I not only love helping and caring for people, but I love animals and the outdoors. I have two rescue fur babies: a chihuahua mix and a greyhound mix. I have a passion of living life to the fullest which to me means traveling to the beach or mountains and spending time with family and friends! My favorite food is sushi. I love listening to live music, reading a good book, and watching a good movie.
