Daniel Schultz, MCN, RDN, LD, CEDS
As a non-diet, weight-neutral dietitian, I help clients, including athletes and active individuals, reconnect with their bodies so they can eat in a way that is both nourishing and satisfying.
As a former Division I athlete, I understand firsthand the intensity of athletic culture and how easily performance demands, body expectations, and food rules can become intertwined. I struggled with an eating disorder myself, and there was a time when I truly believed recovery wasn’t possible for me.
That began to change when I worked with a team of dietitians and therapists who understood both the internal struggle around food and the pressure to perform and push my body. Through that process, I learned that healing wasn’t about more control—it was about understanding, support, and changing my relationship with food and my body. That experience is what led me to this work.

My qualifications
Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition
I completed my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at UT Southwestern and am a Registered Dietitian in the state of Texas. I am also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). I previously worked at The Emily Program, a treatment facility for eating disorders and spent several years treating students with eating disorders at University of Texas at Dallas.
I’m a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) and the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD).
Because of my personal experience and professional training, I believe nutrition should be supportive and sustainable—not rigid, punishing, or anxiety-provoking. I’m passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food, build trust in their bodies, and rediscover food as a source of energy, enjoyment, and health—not an enemy. My approach is rooted in intuitive eating and focuses on making peace with your body rather than fighting against it.
Healing and growth aren’t always easy, but the physical and emotional freedom that come with them are worth it. You don’t have to stay at war with yourself forever.
Let’s Get Personal
I moved to Dallas from Minnesota in 2018. I played sports while in undergraduate school at the University of Minnesota. I love quiet nights watching movies and weekend hikes with brunches after. I enjoy cooking and having dinner parties, but hate cooking for just myself!
