Sydnee Madding, LPC Associate, NCC

Supervised by Cherie Miller, LPC-S, CEDS-C, IEDS

I’ve always felt called to help others, even as a child. My own experiences with pain and healing shaped my empathy and taught me the power of feeling understood. That foundation guides my work today as I create a safe, genuine space where clients can be honest, explore their emotions, and experience real change.

Clients tell me they feel safe and at ease talking with me—whether they’re kids, teens, or adults. Our work isn’t just about managing symptoms; it’s about getting to the heart of what’s going on so they finally feel seen, supported, and able to heal from the inside out!

My qualifications

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), currently practicing under the supervision of Cherie Miller, LPC-S, CEDS-C, IEDS and Zachary Zender, LPC-S. I earned my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and received the Compassionate Counselor Award for empathy and peer support—an honor that reflects the heart I bring to this work.

Before joining Nourished Soul, I provided counseling at a residential drug and alcohol recovery program, supporting individuals through difficult and transformative seasons. I’ve worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use, identity concerns, and low self-worth. For those who want it, I can integrate Christian counseling in a respectful, collaborative way.

My clinical style is person-centered, meaning your story and your pace guide the work. I incorporate CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, and play therapy with children to help clients understand their thoughts, process emotions, and move toward deeper healing—not just short-term coping.

Let’s Get Personal

I love spending time with family, cooking and taking care of my two dogs. I’m originally from South Arkansas and carry that warmth and hospitality into my therapy style!
