Service FAQ’s
For therapy, clients must reside in Texas or Wisconsin since all of our therapists are licensed in TX and WI only. We are mostly telehealth at this time, but do offer in-person appointments at our office. Our Southlake office is convenient for people in the Colleyville, Grapevine, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Hurst, North Richland Hills, and HEB areas.
For dietitian nutritionist services related to clinical eating disorders or medical conditions, clients must reside in Texas since our Registered Dietitians are licensed in Texas only for medical nutrition therapy. We are mostly telehealth, but do offer in-person appointments at our office in Southlake.
For medication-related appointments, clients must reside in Texas since our psychiatric nurse practitioner is licensed in Texas only. Most evaluation appointments need to be in-person at our Southlake office, but typically follow-up appointments can be virtual.
Our therapists and dietitians specialize in treating children age 14+ through adults. We are in the process of hiring a therapist who can do counseling for kids ages 5 and up!
Our psychiatric nurse practitioner sees children 6+ through adults for medication evaluations and ongoing management.
Session FAQ’s
Both in-person and telehealth appointments are offered for therapy, dietitian nutritionist therapy. and psychiatry. We do typically require medication evaluation sessions to be held in in-person at our Southlake office, but most follow-ups can be done virtually.
Live video sessions allow you to talk with your therapist, dietitian or nurse practitioner in a virtual face-to-face setting. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure confidentiality. The system will send you a unique link for each appointment ahead of time. At the time of our scheduled session, you will use the link to log into our system online or on the app. Your provider will initiate the virtual session and you’ll get started—it’s easy and 100% secure.
How long you will need to counseling sessions depends on many factors, including the issues you are struggling with and your personal goals for therapy. It also depends on how much work you do in between sessions, as people can often make progress in counseling faster if they do homework and regularly practice the skills they’re learning in counseling.
For counseling and nutrition therapy, we typically recommend starting with weekly appointments, though sometimes every other week is an appropriate cadence to begin with. We rarely start with less-frequent appointments because that doesn’t allow enough time for good progress. Even once a week is only 4 hours out of a whole month!
We will recommend stepping down in frequency as you make progress and will spread sessions out until you feel ready to stop coming. It’s our job to put ourselves out of a job!
For medication management, it depends on what medications you take and if there are any complicating factors (e.g. health conditions) that need to be monitored more closely.
To schedule a therapy, dietitian nutrition or medication management session, you can book an appointment online, email us at hello@nourishedsoulcenter.com or call 817-415-2155. If you don’t see a time for the practitioner you’d like to meet with that will work for you, please feel free to call or email us.
Fee FAQ’s
Some of our providers are paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United / UMR, Aetna, Cigna and Sana plans. For our providers who are not paneled, we can provide a superbill that you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement if you plan offers that.
Please be aware that we do not bill insurance for couple and family therapy sessions because traditional couple and family therapy is not covered by insurance. Couple and family sessions are out-of-pocket.
NOTE: Our providers who are paneled are often full. Most providers in the area who take insurance are. Our intern and associate providers are often out-of-pocket, but offer lower fees and are wonderful clinicians!
Below are the rates for our individual therapists. Please know that we do reserve some sliding scale spots for clients in need of discounted services, so please contact us about that if needed!
