Seeking Control, Safety and Security in Our Bodies During Stress

This time last year, none of us had any idea what 2020 would bring. It’s been quite the year! And now on top of all the COVID stress, we have the added stress of the holidays.
Sure, holidays can be a lot of fun, but they can also be really challenging in some ways—especially if you struggle with food and body stuff. That’s why I’m so excited to share this podcast with you that I was a guest on this week, because it has loads of helpful tips for getting through this season!
I was pumped to be a guest on the Kitchen Table Podcast with Alicia Brown, RD, another anti-diet professional who is doing some amazing work helping people achieve food freedom! Go here to listen on the platform you like best.
Alicia and I talked about all kinds of important topics, including:
- How stressors in life trigger eating disorders when we desire to have control and safety in our lives
- Covid and taking care of ourselves in healthy ways
- Dealing with New Year diet messaging
- Boundaries with people and the media during this vulnerable time
You can either listen as a podcast on your preferred platform or watch it on YouTube!
I wish you all the best this season and hope you eat your favorite holiday foods—without a side of guilt!
